As a teacher at Lancers International School I have seen students develop creative and
critical thinking skills hence improving their reasoning, analysis, evaluation, decision making
thus enabling them to solve simple to complex problems. Teaching is not simple, but it becomes
enjoyable and motivating through PYP because one keeps learning. The pride of every teacher is
to not only prepare the students for success in school but also in their future careers and the
overall success in life in any part of the world. PYP is the key to equipping the students with the
thinking skills to create an impact in the world in the 21st century. As a PYP teacher I have to
keep sharpening my skills since the world is dynamic, and the skills requirements are getting
sophisticated each day. According to Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon
which you can use to change the world.” By using the right programs to impact knowledge, I
have so much to offer the world and hence change it for the better.
